    Dr. Diana Means
    Veterinarian

Dr. Means was born and raised a country girl in Fayette County. Her interest in veterinary medicine stems from her involvement in showing horses in 4-H as a child. At the young age of four, she told her parents, “I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up!” Unlike most kids, she never changed her mind.

Dr. Means completed 4 years of undergraduate studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences and graduating Magna Cum Laude at West Virginia University. She then completed 1 year of non-degree graduate studies at West Virginia University before attending Veterinary School. Dr. Means obtained
her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2006 from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine after 4 years of intensive studies. Upon graduation Dr. Means spent 5 ½ years practicing small animal medicine and surgery at Delmont Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Means then joined Laurel Highlands Animal Health for 8 short months prior to purchasing Fayette Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Stevenson in July 2012.

Dr. Means resides with her husband and their spoiled cats, Ruger and Winchester. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Being true to her country roots, Dr. Means participates in tractor pulling events alongside her husband.
